Testimonials

Quotes was looking for a place that myself and friends could stay at while getting ready for the Presidential Traverse. I had read the reviews of the Libby house and some other establishments, but after speaking with Paul,i decided this would be the right choice. When we arrived at Libby house we had a ton of gear that needed to be sorted Paul and Bobby (who at the time were in the process of moving some items from the prior owner) offered us the barn and as much time as we needed to sort gear. Bobby then showed us to our room, and gave us some history on the establishment. Our room was large and Very Warm, with a small new fridge and coffee maker in the room Quotes

Hiker/Climber Friendly.Awesome Stay

Quotes We stumbled upon this Inn on a road trip through New England and ended up staying two nights over the July 4th weekend. Our room was on the top floor and much bigger than we needed - having a queen bed and table & chairs for breakfast and a sofa - as well as a second room with two twin beds and a private bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. It was clean and inviting and quite charming. Quotes

Lovely & Quaint Victorian Inn

Quotes On our trip to the White Mountains we spontaneously decided to rent a room in this B&B as soon as we saw this fantastically decorated house. We had a very warm welcome by the owners Bobby, Paul and their dog Marley. The rooms were very comfortable and a great experience to look at. A very beautiful house. The Continental breakfast was served in basket and we could enjoy it in our room. We can highly recommend to stay in this B&B! Quotes

Fantastatic holidays in the Libby House

Quotes Bobby and Paul treated me as though I were one of their favorite relatives. They offered to drive me for shopping, dining, and to and from the trail-head. The rooms were spacious, spotless and comfortable. I stayed in different rooms over three different visits; all quiet and unique. There was a short walk to a variety of eateries and shops. I treasure the fond memories of time shared with Bobby and Paul (and Marley, the golden doodle), and look forward to returning to Gorham to visit them again. Room Tip: I loved all of the rooms!! Each has it's own character. Quotes

Incredible rest after hiking the Appalachian Trail

Quotes When planning a December trip to the White Mountain region to hike and explore the surrounding rural towns, The Libby House was a clear, standout choice. Our interactions with the proprietors were pleasant and cordial. Our sleeping accommodations were more than generous, sharing a very large room with a king size and twin bed that was decorated in a wonderful and unforgettable style. The entire house is amazingly decorated; you need to see it firsthand to experience the history and opulence. It was easy to leave the inn and walk down the main street, where we visited several local stores including a particularly enjoyable coffee and bookstore. We chose to keep the temperature in the lower range and were still very warm and comfortable sleeping under a few heavy blankets. The Gorham area is breathtaking, and we would confidently recommend visiting year round and staying at the Libby House Inn. Quotes

Excellent Choice for Wanderers

Quotes I stayed several days at the Libby House in July, 2015, during my hike of the AT. I arrived at the hostel in a pretty bad physical state due to an injury I suffered on the trail. The owners, Bobby and Paul, were extremely friendly and helpful to me. They did everything they could possibly do to help me. Besides, the Libby House is so clean and nice ... simply a great place to rest. Hikers, when you come to Gorham, go to the Libby House, it?s definitely the best choice! Quotes

Outstanding service and hospitality! THE place to stay in Gorha

Quotes While on a colors trip in the Fall of 2015, we stayed in The Libby House Inn in Gorham, NH. What an eye feast of Victorian elegance was this gorgeous historic home, inside and out. Innkeeper Bobby was able to relate the details about those who had inhabited it long years ago, and everything about the furnishings, some of which were from his own family. The house and its intricate structure speak of amazing beauty and craftsmanship. Bobby was friendly, welcoming, informative, careful to see that his guests were comfortable in their lovely rooms, and a person who takes pride in having guests who will appreciate his home, and the amazing amount of effort he puts forth to keep it in mint condition. I would highly recommend this very reasonably priced Inn to anyone traveling through New Hampshire. Quotes

Great people great place

Quotes Driving along Main Street in Gorham, there are many options for places to stay, but The Libby House definitely stands out from the rest! This quaint bed and breakfast is beautifully furnished and kept immaculate. It is obvious Bobby takes pride in maintaining the house and making his guests feel welcome. Bobby, Paul (Paul runs the Barn, a hiker's hostel which is definitely worth checking out as well), and their dog Marley did everything they could to make my stay wonderful. If you are looking for a place to stay in the North Country, forego the other hotels along Main Street and stop into The Libby House (Libby House probably has better rates too). Quotes

Unique B&B

Quotes For the Barn, not the B&B. Free pick up and return for the trail if you were hiking. It had a truly unique feel being inside the old barn. All the bunks have been removed and replaced with full-size beds. Full/double for most of them, so not so great if you're over 6 feet tall, but Hikers can sleep anywhere so not a big deal. Showers and laundry plus the television and a ping-pong table. Plenty of space to sort out your stuff and refrigerators to hold your various foodstuffs. The people around are very nice as well and it puts you close to the more center part of town are you have easy access to the post office, hardware store, convenient store, etc. Would recommend this highly to any hiker who is planning to resupply or zero in Gorham before hitting the Whites or after just finishing. Stayed June 2016, traveled as a couple Quotes
